Ruth Canagarajah has served as an Associate at Busara since June 2016. She is primarily engaged with Busara's Civic Engagement portfolio, alongside running projects in agriculture. With a background in sociology, Ruth is keen on seeing the application of behavioral economics on decision-makers and in challenging organizational thinking. Her previous work involves assessing the World Food Programme's organizational mandates in light of the Syrian conflict and exploring informal sector dynamics in post-conflict Sri Lanka.
Ruth has a Masters in Public Policy from Cambridge University, and completed undergraduate studies in International Politics and Sociology from Penn State University
