We’re a diverse team spread across Kenya, Nigeria, India, Tanzania, Uganda, and Ethiopia. Hailing from more than 15 countries, we are academics, software developers, international development professionals, accountants, data analysts, and much more. Regardless of our individual backgrounds, we all share a passion for using behavioral science for impact.

What we look for

There’s no one-size-fits-all Busara team member. We do not only hire based on technical ability; we are looking for candidates with (at least) equally strong soft skills:

Our hiring process

Does this sound like you? Once you apply and are selected to move through one of our hiring rounds, you can expect a rigorous process that reflects our high baseline requirements for technical skills. Our process reflects that and can take up to three months. 

As part of our recruitment process, all Associate and Research Specialist candidates who proceed through our hiring pipeline complete hypothetical technical tasks to demonstrate an ability to understand datasets and design behavioral experiments.
