James Joined Busara on November 2017. He has a Bsc. in Computer Science from the University of Nairobi. He has been engaged in the development and management of Busara's internal finance system (BusaraPay) which is has streamline payment request management and processing. He has also developed and managed external facing products SmartDuka (a content management platform for small duka owners), Givolution (An unconditional cash transfer platform for donors to send gifts directly to poor families in Kenya). James has extensive experience in development of data systems, having previously worked to develop an electronic data interchange solution to replace a paper processes in use by top insurance companies in Kenya. He also has experience in integrating these systems with payments platforms having worked to develop a Electronic Medical Records solution to manage procurement, payments, reconciliation and revenue reports in use by top hospitals in Kenya.
