David has been with Busara since January 2016. In his role as an Engagement Director, David is responsible for Busara’s research portfolio and has managed over 30 research engagements with academics, research labs, NGOs and commercial organizations. His expertise lies in creating instruments to measure specific behaviors as well as designing and adapting experiments to low income/low education contexts. David is also interested in using data for social good and has more recently been developing the Busara Smart Sensing initiative that uses phone sensor data to predict behaviors in understudied groups. Prior to joining Busara, David worked on modeling norm creation and spread in hierarchical social networks at Tata Research, India.
David has a Masters in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University and a Bachelors in Economics from St. Stevens College.
